The signatures
Where Tacticat makes the difference: not just “a PDF template to sign”, but a tool that lasts.
The founding principle
A published version is immutable.
You write your document in restricted Markdown. Once published, the version is frozen — it can no longer be modified. Only a new version can replace it. This is what lets you find, years later, the exact text someone signed. The PDF generated at signature time embeds the translation actually shown, not the source document.
Proof of reading — no blind signatures
The signature component refuses to activate until the text has been scrolled to the bottom. No waiting time is imposed — a text short enough to fit on screen is considered read outright. The component measures the proof and archives it with the signature.
The signature record
Everything you need to know who signed what, archived at signature time.
Identity frozen in the PDF, not in the record
A classic bug: staff rename the participant record after a signature. The PDF must then point to the name at signature time, not the current name. Tacticat freezes the signer’s identity in the PDF, regardless of subsequent record changes.
Multilingual by default
The customer signs in their language. The translation shown at signature time is bound to the signature — not the source document. You can write your document in French and offer it translated in English, German, or Italian.
Legal notices, already done
Three documents to configure once:
- 1
Sub-processing agreement between Tacticat and you — provided ready-made, to be accepted once.
- 2
Your data protection policy — either via a link, or entered directly.
- 3
Your terms and conditions — cancellation, refund, late, no-show.
- 4
All three appear at the bottom of your booking page, and the customer accepts them when booking.
Try it on a real case
The best way is to create a space, draft your document, and invite someone to sign. 30 days, no card.
